Swivel Gallery
Hours: Wed-Sat, 12-6pm
Contact: swivelgallery@gmail.com
Description: Swivel Gallery was founded in January 2021 by Graham Wilson, who designed, built and opened the first gallery venue in Nostrand 329 Avenue, turning the once Restoration Tabernacle into a powerful incubator for emerging artists. The gallery’s focus is to help artists on development to formulate their first exhibitions and guide their career thereafter. The programming ranges from sculpture, to installation, photography, painting, and new media art. The gallery has been featured in major press outlets including Artnet, The New York Times, Artsy, and more. Featured artists have gone on to exhibit with major galleries both domestic and international, and exhibited in its first shows the likes of Asif Hoque, Luján Perez, and Donte Hayes to name a few. With the recent expansion in the 5,000 square-foot former CLEARING Gallery space, the Swivel Gallery continues its mission to host compelling exhibitions for its diverse cast of emerging artists, while fostering creativity and keep inspiring the Brooklyn community, and beyond.
